Google Chromebook

Chrome OS is the first step towards fully cloud based computing. General consumers will eventually rely completely on such devices with no need for a computer. Advanced media will require the performance of standard computers with local files for quite some time. Graphic designers and Video editors will be stuck with their standard laptops, but the rest of the world will eventually have a cell phone that wireless docks with EVERYTHING.

In the meantime, if you want cloud computing and don’t need to do anything beyond surf the net, check your email, use a spreadsheet, word processor, or powerpoint, do basic editing and organizing of photos, or video chat, then a Google Chromebook is the solution for you. Personally, I’ll be sticking to a MacBook Pro, iMac, iPad, and iPhone.
